Hi! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Braquelle Murphy, MS, LCPC (she/her). I’m a multiracial psychotherapist born, raised, and based in Maryland, currently practicing in Silver Spring on the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Piscataway and Nacotchtank people.I work with individuals and couples from a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and depathologizing lens. My approach is integrative and flexible, drawing from EMDR, Ego State Therapy, Animal-Assisted Services, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and other modalities depending on what actually fits you—not a one-size-fits-all model. I’m not a blank-slate therapist. I show up as human, because I believe healing happens in relationship where we can be fully seen and understood.

I’ve always been a deep feeler, drawn to spaces where people can be seen in their fullness, not just the parts they’ve learned to hide or manage. In therapy, I aim to offer a warm, curious, collaborative, and compassionate space where people can better understand themselves, gently process and integrate painful experiences, and build a deeper connection with themselves and their bodies.

After receiving a late ADHD diagnosis, I began to make sense of years of feeling like I was working harder just to keep up, while others seemed to move through tasks and expectations with more ease. I hold deep respect and honor for neurodivergent ways of thinking, feeling, and being, and I’m committed to offering care that reflects that, care that is affirming, flexible, and responsive to the real ways people move through the world.

As the daughter of a police officer and a former military spouse, I am especially passionate about supporting military and first responder communities. Military and first responder life can bring its own mix of emotional, relational, and everyday stressors for individuals and families. My goal is to provide care that feels approachable, grounded, and genuinely supportive of the realities they navigate every day.

More about me.

I enjoy being outside in nature, walking, noticing, and birding, as well as reading, weight lifting, water color painting, junk journaling, and watching movies. I love spending time with my dog, Harlem, and will gladly talk about him and show pictures of him any chance I get.

I work Monday through Thursday, which allows me the time and space to relax, explore my interests, grow, learn, and integrate what I’ve learned in my sessions throughout the week.
