Hi! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Braquelle Murphy, MS, LCPC (she, her). I’m a multiracial action-oriented psychotherapist born, raised, and based in Maryland. I currently reside and operate my practice in Silver Spring, Maryland, located on the traditional and ancestral homelands of the  Piscataway and Nacotchtank people. I work with both individuals and couples utilizing trauma-informed care, Ego State therapy, EMDR, Animal Assisted Services, and more.

In addition to individual and relationship therapy services, I offer EMDR intensives, individual and group consultation to EMDR-trained clinicians, facilitation of EMDR basic training, mental health assessments to law enforcement officers, and clinical presentations.

My journey to creating Dazed Therapy began in childhood, watching my father serve as a police officer. I admired his dedication to something he truly believed in, and it inspired me to find a path that resonated deeply with me. I have always known that I wanted to be in a role where I could connect with others, hold space for their stories, and grow alongside them Helping people and creating spaces for healing has always felt like the right path, and it’s an honor to hold space.

Being a military spouse has shaped me in ways I never expected, and I’ve experienced firsthand the emotional and physical toll military life can take on a person. Because of that, I’m passionate about supporting the military community through clinical care, as well as offering employment and (eventually)EMDR training opportunities for military spouses. I truly understand some of the unique challenges military families face and I’m committed to helping them navigate those difficulties with the support they truly deserve.

I invite you to review our sliding scale fee schedule here.

More about me.

I enjoy being outside in nature, cooking, exercising, golfing, and watching documentaries. I love spending time with my dogs, Harlem and Kodak. On most days, Harlem joins me in session. Harlem has the typical Rottweiler traits- full of so much attitude and also protective of his humans. You may hear him dreaming or growling at the mail trucks during our sessions. I work Monday through Thursday as it allows me time and space to relax, explore my interests, grow, learn, and integrate what I have learned in my sessions throughout the week.
